The [PIAS] Store

Inspired by the Brussels alternative music scene and her Californian roots, Tessa started composing at the age of 12 on the piano and the guitar. At the age of 16 she participated in the “The Voice” Belgium, which was to be the catalyst that unlocked her preferred style of music: alternative pop with influences from artists such as Banks, James Blake and FKA Twigs. After a number of fruitful collaborations with well-known Belgian artists such as Romeo Elvis and Stereoclip, Tessa signed with [PIAS] in 2016.

Born in 1997 in a multi-cultural/multi-lingual family, listening and playing music were a part of her everyday life. With a foot in Belgium, another in the UK, and yet another in California, this cultural divide inspired her edgy style. Early 2019 she was elected one of the winners of De Nieuwe Lichting, a local talent competition hosted by Belgian’s leading alternative radio station Studio Brussel. Her song ‘Beautiful Pain’ caught the eyes and ears of agents, promotors, like-minded artists and the listeners of Studio Brussel. Next Tessa released 'Ignited'. The video premiered on Highsnobiety and spend the whole summer in high rotation on Studio Brussel.
