In 2016 Oranssi Pazuzu were introduced by the Roadburn Festival as ‘a giant that stalks these mostly otherwise untrodden lands’, referring to the Finnish extreme psych scene that invaded Tilburg with such remarkable results in recent years. One year later the band already returned at Roadburn, and they called them ‘a true beacon of experimentalism and innovation’.

Oranssi Pazuzu, who released their fourth studio-album “Värähtelijä” in 2016, offers the finest blackened psychedelia, not meant for genre purists. They were on a trip all their own; modern electric pioneers on an expedition to unlock the keys to the hidden spaces all around and inside us. They play a mix of heavy stoner, doom and black metal, spiced up with krautrock, electronica and prog. Jazzing it up and down with calm passages, up to another tumultuous outbreak.
