French instrumental trio STONE FROM THE SKY return with Bakeneko, their fourth studio album and first with Argonauta Records. Emerging from the vibrant Le Mans underground, the band has evolved from fuzzy stoner roots into a post-metal force, delivering their heaviest and most atmospheric material to date.

Inspired by the Japanese myth of the shape-shifting Bakeneko spirit, the album unfolds across seven cinematic tracks full of dynamic shifts, tribal grooves, and soaring ambient passages. The addition of a new drummer brings heightened rhythmic depth and intensity. Bakeneko is both crushing and introspective, a journey through layered soundscapes that embrace psychedelia, doom, and post-rock with surgical precision.
