The hugely influential album “New Conception Of Jazz” by Bugge Wesseltoft was originally released in 1996. Wesseltoft’s new jazz sound was at the forefront of the hip new trend of ‘Nu-Jazz’. Wesseltoft took the sounds and rhythms of club culture and electronica, and combined them with jazz improvisation. It gave focus and confidence to the Norwegian / European jazz scene.
